On Friday, 4 April at 4 pm, Max Heß will sign the Golden Book of Sport of the City of Chemnitz in the presence of Lord Mayor Sven Schulze.
Representatives of the media are invited to attend. The honour will take place in the Green Salon of the town hall.
Max Heß from LAC Erdgas Chemnitz won a silver medal in the triple jump at the European Indoor Championships in Apeldoorn, the Netherlands, at the beginning of March. The 17.43 metres he jumped was his best result of the season and also the best result of a German triple jumper at a European Indoor Championships. Max Heß was only beaten by the Italian Andy Diaz Hernandez, who won the competition with a distance of 17.71 metres.
In addition to his coach Harry Marusch and other support staff, the president of the club, Dr Peter Seifert, will also be present. He will give the laudatory speech.
