On Thursday, 11 November, from 5 to 6.30 p.m., journalist Conny Hartmann and author Sigrid Klemm will present a very special "masked ball" at the adult education centre, room 4.07. They will present poems from the book of the same name and encourage a joint dialogue. The reading will be accompanied by a small exhibition of selected artworks from the book.

Admission is free. Due to the limited number of places, please register in advance at www.vhs-chemnitz.de or by telephone on 0371 488-4343.

The book documents the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic from the perspective of a woman from Chemnitz. Author and artist Sigrid Klemm lived through the Second World War. Now she is dealing with a new crisis that is awakening old fears. She has been observing the events surrounding the pandemic for over a year and has been thinking about them. She recorded them in poems and pictures. Sigrid Klemm was encouraged and supported by journalist Conny Hartmann. The result is a very personal and lovingly designed book. A piece of contemporary history in art and poetry.

The exhibition accompanying the book can be seen from 12 November to 22 December, Monday to Friday, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on the 4th floor of the TIETZ.
