"Masked ball - How a virus is changing the world"

Sigrid Klemm and Conny Hartmann will be reading from the book "Maskenball - Wie ein Virus die Welt verändert" (Masked Ball - How a Virus Changes the World) on Thursday, 3 March from 6 pm at the TIETZ City Library. The reading will take place in the run-up to the Chemnitz Peace Day on the following Saturday.

The 80-year-old author and artist Sigrid Klemm will read from her book together with Chemnitz journalist Conny Hartmann and look back on the beginnings of the pandemic, which has awakened old fears in her. She survived the bombing of Chemnitz on 5 March 1945 at the age of four. The book "Maskenball" looks at the changes from a very special perspective - expressed in art and poetry.
