The City of Chemnitz is organising the fair around Chemnitz Town Hall. As usual, the stallholders will be offering a wide range of goods. A varied selection of food and drink will be on hand to keep visitors well fed and watered.

Chemnitz Weekly Market – Am Wall
Location: Am Wall
Due to set-up work and the Chemnitz Christmas Market, the weekly market will be held on a smaller scale at the Roter Turm/Am Wall from 7 November until 31 December.
Opening hours are from Tuesday to Friday, 9 am to 4 pm, and additionally on Saturdays 7, 14 and 21 November, from 9 am to 1 pm. There will be no weekly market on Saturdays in December or between 24 and 28 December.

Arrival of the Christmas tree for the Chemnitz Christmas market
Venue: Market Square
The Christmas tree will be delivered to Chemnitz Market Square. You can pass the time whilst waiting for its arrival with barbecued food and mulled wine.
13 to 22 November, 9 am to 4 pm
Market selling grave decorations
Location: Footpath on Reichenhainer Straße, on both sides, near the cemetery
During this period, from 9 am to 4 pm each day, you can buy grave decorations, flowers, wreaths, cemetery arrangements and brushwood.
Saturday, 28 November, 2 pm
Grand Mountain Parade 2026
Venue: Theaterplatz, Straße der Nationen, Brückenstraße
The closing concert will take place on Theaterplatz.
Route: Theaterplatz – Richard-Tauber-Straße – Straße der Nationen – Brückenstraße – Theaterstraße – and then back along the same route to Theaterplatz

Chemnitz Christmas Market 2026 – Opening
Venue: City centre
The Chemnitz Christmas Market will be opened on 27 November at 4 pm by the Lord Mayor, Mr Schulze. Visitors can explore the approximately 200 stalls in Chemnitz city centre until 23 December.
