Funfair around the town hall
The funfair planned for 7 November 2022 will be cancelled due to preparations for the Chemnitz Christmas Market.
Saturday, 5 November, in the late afternoon
Arrival of the Christmas tree
On 5 November, in the late afternoon, the Christmas tree will be delivered to Chemnitz Market Square. The waiting time can be shortened with a barbecue and mulled wine until the tree arrives.
From Tuesday, 8 November
Relocation of the weekly market to the area by the Red Tower
Due to construction work for the Chemnitz Christmas Market, the weekly market will be relocated to a smaller area at the Roter Turm from 8 November until 23 December 2022 (except 16 November 2022).
The opening hours are from Tuesday to Friday, from 9 am to 4 pm, and additionally on Saturday, 12 November and 19 November, from 9 am to 1 pm, Friday, 30 December, from 9 am to 3 pm and Saturday, 31 December, from 9 am to 12 pm.

Chemnitz Christmas Market 2022
The Chemnitz Christmas Market will take place from 25 November to 23 December.
It is open at the following times:
- On Friday, 25 November from 4 pm to 9 pm,
- from Saturday, 26 November to Thursday, 22 December, Monday to Thursday, from 10 am to 8 pm, and Friday to Sunday, from 10 am to 9 pm
- on Friday, 23 December, from 10 am to 8 pm.

The Great Mountain Parade will take place on 26 November at 2 pm.
