On Saturday, 1 November, the last weekly market of the year will take place at Chemnitz Town Hall (market).

Fair around the town hall
On Monday, 3 November, the City of Chemnitz will be holding its annual market around Chemnitz Town Hall (Markt, Neumarkt, Rosenhof, Innere Klosterstraße from Markt to Jakobikirchplatz). As usual, the traders will have an extensive range of goods on offer.

Relocation of the weekly market to the area by the Red Tower
Due to the construction work for the Chemnitz Christmas market, the weekly market will take place in a smaller form at the Roter Turm from 4 November to 23 December. Opening hours are Tuesdays to Fridays from 9 am to 4 pm, as well as on Saturdays 8 November, 15 November and 22 November from 9 am to 1 pm. There will be no weekly market from 24 to 29 December. On Tuesday, 31 December, the weekly market will be open from 9 am to 12 noon.
Friday, 7 November, to Sunday, 23 November, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Market for the sale of grave decorations
Location: Reichenhainer Straße footpath, on both sides at cemetery level
It is possible to buy grave decorations, flowers, wreaths, cemetery arrangements and brushwood.
Saturday, 8 November, around 5 pm
Arrival of the Christmas tree for the Chemnitz Christmas market
The Christmas tree will be delivered to the Chemnitz market square at around 5 pm on 8 November. The waiting time can be shortened with a barbecue and mulled wine until the tree arrives.

European Mountain Parade 2025
Location: Theatre Square, Street of Nations, Brückenstraße
The European Mountain Parade will take place on Saturday, 29 November. This year, not only regional participants from the Ore Mountains are expected, but also friendly associations from all over Germany and neighbouring countries. The final concert will take place on the theatre square.
Running route: Theatre Square - Richard-Tauber-Straße - Straße der Nationen - Brückenstraße - Theaterstraße - and back

Chemnitz Christmas Market

Opening times:
Mondays to Thursdays from 11 am to 8 pm,
Fridays and Saturdays from 10 am to 9 pm,
Sundays from 10 am to 8 pm.
Exception: Friday, 28 November, from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m.
The Chemnitz Christmas Market will be opened on 28 November at 4 pm by Lord Mayor Sven Schulze. Visitors can visit the approx. 200 stalls in Chemnitz city centre until 23 December 2025. Afterwards, the Neumarkt and Düsseldorfer Platz will provide food and drink until 3 January 2026.
