Plant and flower market
On Sunday, 1 May, the city of Chemnitz opens the balcony and garden season with the traditional plant and flower market on the market square. From 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., you can choose from a wide range of products such as bedding and balcony plants, seeds, orchids, trees and shrubs, kitchenherbs, vegetable plants, perennials, wickerwork and garden accessories and bring spring into your garden or balcony. Sweet and savoury food and drinks invite market visitors to linger.

Fair around the town hall
The City of Chemnitz will be holding its funfair around Chemnitz Town Hall on Monday, 2 May, from 9 am to 5 pm. As usual, the traders will be offering a wide range of goods. A wide range of food and drink will be on offer to cater for your physical well-being.

Relocation of the weekly market at the town hall to the Am Wall area
Due to the extended use of space for the Hat Festival, the weekly market at the town hall will take place from Tuesday, 24 May to Saturday, 28 May (except 26 May) on the Am Wall area (Red Tower).
