Market information - the dates in May
Plant and flower market on Friday 1 May
1 May is a traditional market day in Chemnitz. The city organises the plant and flower market from 8 am to 2 pm at Chemnitz Town Hall. There are colourful offers for gardens and balconies, such as bedding and balcony plants, seeds, vegetable plants, perennials, flower arrangements, ceramics and garden accessories. Sweet and savoury food and drinks invite market visitors to linger.
Fair around the town hall on Monday 4 May
The traditional funfair on the first Monday of the month takes place around the town hall from 9 am to 5 pm. As usual, the traders will have an extensive range of goods on offer. A wide range of food and drink will be on offer to cater for your physical well-being.
Flea market at Chemnitz Town Hall on Sunday 17 May
From 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., there will once again be space on the market for the flea market, offering a wide range of old and second-hand goods. There will be a wide range of food and drink on offer to refresh junk dealers and visitors.
Please note: It is not necessary to pre-register for the flea market. If you want to take part, simply turn up at the town hall on Sunday morning at 7 am. The market master will collect the stall fee on site. A square metre costs 2.60 euros plus VAT.
