Market information - the dates in August
Funfair on Monday, 4 August: From 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the first Monday of the month, there will be a regular funfair in the area around Chemnitz Town Hall. The traders await their customers with a diverse range of goods and, as usual, there will be a wide selection of food and drink on site.
Flea market on Sunday, 17 August: The monthly flea market will take place on the market from 9 am to 3 pm. Old and second-hand items from the storeroom and cellar will be on sale, and there will be a wide range of food and drink on offer to refresh junk dealers and all other market visitors.
It is not necessary for junk dealers to register in advance: if you want to take part, simply turn up at the town hall on Sunday morning at 7 am. The market master will collect the stall fee on site. A square metre costs 2.60 euros plus VAT. The Chemnitz market statutes apply to the events. Weekly market at the town hall makes way for the Chemnitz CityFestival: From Tuesday, 26 August to Friday, 29 August , the weekly market will take place daily from 9 am to 5 pm in the Rosenhof area, making way for this year's 20th Chemnitz City Festival(www.cwe-chemnitz.de), which will take place over four days from Thursday, 28 to Sunday, 31 August.
