Market information - the dates in April
Fair on Monday, 7 April: The traders involved in the fair will be present around Chemnitz Town Hall from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. with a diverse range of goods. There will also be a wide range of food and drink on offer. The fair is regularly organised on the first Monday of the month.
Spring and Easter market from 10 to 26 April: The Neumarkt by the town hall will soon be particularly spring-like with an Easter crown, lots of floral decorations and 40 stalls selling Easter goods. April until Saturday 26 April - with the exception of Sundays (13 and 20 April) and the public holidays Good Friday (18 April) and Easter Monday (21 April).
The spring and Easter market is open Monday to Friday from 9 am to 5 pm and on Saturdays from 8 am to 3 pm. On offer will be Easter products such as wooden and floral decorations, plants and gifts. The youngest market visitors are invited to make Easter decorations, go on the children's carousel and visit the petting zoo. The Easter bunny and street musicians will be on hand to provide entertainment.
Flea market on Sunday, 27 April: Old and second-hand goods will be on sale at the flea market at Chemnitz Town Hall from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., with a wide range of food and drink on offer to refresh flea market traders and visitors.
It is not necessary for junk dealers to register in advance. If you want to take part, simply turn up at the town hall on Sunday morning at 7 am. The market master will collect the stall fee on site. A square metre costs 2.60 euros plus VAT. The Chemnitz market statutes apply to the events.
