From 30 September to 8 October 2016 (except Sunday, 2 October and Monday, 3 October 2016), the City of Chemnitz is organising an Autumn and Harvest Week at Neumarkt am Rathaus. The opening hours are Tuesday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday from
9 am to 3 pm. Lovingly designed decorations in rich, bright colours and the large harvest crown transform the market area into a splash of colour in the city centre. Around 25 stalls offer all kinds of autumnal products. For example, there are freshly harvested goods, home-butchered and smoked sausage specialities, onion plaits, flower bulbs, furs, leather, wood, wool and natural products. A wide range of food and drink invites you to linger. On 1 October and 8 October 2016, the music group "Bastschuh" will provide entertainment. The youngest market visitors can take a few laps on a children's carousel. The Püschmann family from Thalheim will provide the cultural entertainment. They will have a variety of surprises in store for the young visitors.

The Chemnitz market regulations apply to the events. The costs for a stand can be found in the City of Chemnitz's statutes for charging fees for the use of market areas in the City of Chemnitz. These and information on how to apply to take part in the flea market can be found at www.chemnitz.de/maerkte
