Weekly market at the town hall - changed opening hours
From 1 March 2016, traders will once again be welcoming their customers from Tuesday to Friday from 9 am to 5 pm and Saturday from 8 am to 1 pm.
The weekly market will have additional opening hours for the spring and Easter market:
Saturday, 12,19and 26MarchMarch 2016 from 8 am to 3 pm
Monday, 14 and 21 March 2016 from 9 am to 5 pm
Fair around the town hall
On Monday, 7 March 2016, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., the City of Chemnitz will be holding the funfair around Chemnitz City Hall. As usual, the traders will be offering a wide range of goods. A wide range of food and drink will be on offer to cater for your physical well-being.
Spring and Easter market 2016
From 10 March to 26 March 2016 (except 13, 20 and 25 March), the City of Chemnitz will be holding a spring and Easter market on the Neumarkt by the town hall.
The opening hours are Monday to Friday from 9 am to 5 pm and Saturday from 8 am to 3 pm.
Colourful market decorations with Easter crowns and flower arrangements will get the people of Chemnitz and their guests in the mood for spring and Easter. There will be around 40 stalls selling Easter products such as wooden and floral decorations, plants and gifts. The youngest market visitors can make Easter decorations or take a few turns on the children's carousel and the petting zoo is a popular attraction. The Easter bunny, street musicians and barrel organ music provide all kinds of entertainment. Snacks and drinks round off the market visit.
Flea market at Chemnitz town hall
On Sunday, 20 March 2016, the first flea market of the year will take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the market at Chemnitz Town Hall. Once again, a wide range of old and second-hand goods will be on offer. There will be a wide range of food and drink on offer to refresh junk dealers and visitors.
Pre-registration for junk dealers is not necessary. If you want to take part, simply turn up at the town hall on Sunday morning at 7 am. The market master will collect the stall fee on site. A square metre costs 2.60 euros plus VAT.
