Christmas market Am Wall (Red Tower)
The market will take place on 22 December and 23 December 2016 from 9 am to 3 pm. Customers can buy their pre-ordered Christmas poultry, fish, fruit and vegetables and Spreewald products here.
Dismantling of the Christmas market
On 23 December 2016, the Chemnitz Christmas market will be dismantled after closing time from 9 pm. This may result in increased noise pollution in some places. We ask for your understanding. Every effort will be made to dismantle the market as quickly and quietly as possible.
New Year's Eve market on the Neumarkt by the town hall
There will once again be an opportunity to buy fresh food before the New Year's Eve celebrations. The market will be open on Friday, 30 December from 9 am to 3 pm and on Saturday, 31 December 2016 from 8 am to 12 noon. Carp and trout, spices, sauerkraut, gherkins, olives, meat and bakery products, dairy products as well as flowers and plants will be on offer at this New Year's Eve market.
Start of the weekly market 2017
The weekly market at the town hall starts again on 10 January 2017 and is open Tuesday to Friday from 9 am to 4 pm and Saturday from 8 am to 1 pm.
