Manchester attack: Lord Mayor conveys the city's condolences

Following last night's attack in Manchester, Lord Mayor Barbara Ludwig has conveyed the condolences of the City of Chemnitz to her counterpart Andrew Burnham. "In view of this terrible tragedy, I would like to express our deepest sympathy and sincere condolences on behalf of the citizens of Chemnitz. Our thoughts are with the families of the victims of the attack. We mourn with you for the many innocent people who lost their lives and wish the injured a speedy recovery."

In the "Avenue of Light" in the Park of the Victims of Fascism, the City of Chemnitz laid flowers this morning at the luminaire of the City of Manchester. Chemnitz residents also have the opportunity to express their sympathy there. The link between the theatre and the city centre is illuminated by lamps from Chemnitz's twin cities.
