Makerspace meets Paperspace - creative afternoon on 3 November at TIETZ
On Saturday, 3 November, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., the city library is hosting a creative afternoon for young and old at the central library in the TIETZ. The afternoon with do-it-yourself activities for the whole family offers lots of ideas for making and designing beautiful things yourself. Admission is free.
In the Makerspace, you can learn about 3D printing technology, try out technical craft kits and soldering kits and repair defective items and devices yourself. The Paperspace is all about books, paper and pixels. For the first time, this series will focus on new digital reading formats for children. The world of multimedia picture book apps will be explored and tips and suggestions for digital and analogue reading sessions will be given. The brand new story workshop will be opened for children. Here, imaginative young authors (aged 8 and over) can think up and create their own picture stories on a tablet. The small bookbinding workshop and the medieval writing room are completely analogue and classic. Of course, there will also be plenty of opportunities to let your creativity run wild with handicrafts and painting.
