Maintenance amounts are automatically adjusted
Amendment of the law to increase the basic allowance the child allowance, the child benefit and the child supplement
Due to the change in the law, recipients of maintenance advance payments have been receiving higher benefit amounts since 1 July this year. The benefit amount for children under the age of 6 has been increased retroactively by 11.00 euros and for children aged 6 to under 12 by 12.00 euros.
A positive aspect for all those entitled to maintenance: no new application is required to receive the new benefit amounts. Both back payments and the benefit for the month of August have already been transferred by the maintenance advance office.
The amended notifications regarding the new benefit amounts are expected to be sent to all recipients by the end of September 2015.
In the interest of speedy processing and dispatch of the new benefit notices, the Maintenance Advance Office of the Office for Youth and Family Affairs asks for your understanding that you refrain from making appointments in connection with the payment changeover.
The regular opening hours remain unchanged.
