On Thursday, 19 June at 7 p.m., Lord Mayor Sven Schulze will welcome around 100 entrepreneurs from Germany and abroad, including from Japan, Taiwan and the European Capital of Culture 2025 Nova Gorica, in the Green Salon of City Hall. The occasion is the international network meeting "Startup Connect", organised by the City of Chemnitz's business division, as well as the Makers United hands-on festival, which is taking place at the Stadthalle and Stadthallenpark this weekend.
Representatives of the media are invited to the reception. In addition to Lord Mayor Sven Schulze, Katrin Hoffmann, Chairwoman of the Board of Maker e. V., will welcome the guests.
The three-day international startup meeting "Startup Connect" is taking place in Chemnitz for the first time. From Thursday to Saturday, 19 to 22 June, company visits, networking events and expert dialogues are on the agenda - including at Staffbase, Novajet, move technology, the Vector Lab, Makerspace Gießerstraße and the Werkschau. The eleven-strong delegation from Taiwan will also visit the Industrial Museum, 3D-Micromac and the Fraunhofer Institute ENAS.
As part of Makers United, a public symposium will take place on Saturday, 22 June from 2 to 4 pm in the Vulcanus room at the Carlowitz Congress Centre (access via the Stadthalle). Interested citizens are invited to attend.

- Dr Mohamad Bdiwi (co-founder of Botfellows): Chemnitz as a robotic hub of the future
