Lord Mayor Barbara Ludwig receives Lord Mayor of twin city Düsseldorf

Early Friday evening, Lord Mayor Barbara Ludwig receives her counterpart from the twin city of Düsseldorf, Thomas Geisel, with his family and a delegation in Chemnitz.
The 51-year-old will be competing in the 8th Chemnitz Marathon over the half marathon distance. His wife Vera is running the ten-kilometre distance. A visit to the Chemnitz art collections is planned for the afternoon and the film nights on the theatre square in the evening. Before the guests from Düsseldorf start their journey home on Sunday afternoon, a city tour awaits them. This is Thomas Geisel's first visit to Chemnitz during his term of office as head of the city. Chemnitz and Düsseldorf have been twinned since 1988.
