Logo for the environmental award finalised
Motif with the Red Tower achieves the most approval
The Red Tower, a Chemnitz landmark, now adorns the logo of the Chemnitz Environmental Award for Children and Young People. This is the result of a vote in which a total of 1,437 people took part between the beginning of January and the end of February. There were three logos to choose from, with around 63.6 per cent voting in favour of the motif with the Red Tower.
Some institutions also held analogue votes on the logo. Young Chemnitz residents took part:inside the Altchemnitz school - special needs centre with a focus on learning, the after-school care centre of the "Georg Götz" special needs centre - school with a focus on hearing, the integrhearing centre, the "Sonnenhaus" integrative daycare centre and the Erstes Chemnitzer Kindergartenmodell (KJF e. V.) took part. The majority of them also decided in favour of the winning logo.
From now on, the environmental agency's campaign will appear in public with the winning logo.
Projects for the current environmental award can be submitted to the Environment Agency until 17 April 2023.
