Local elections 2024 - provisional official final result

Nine parties and voter associations represented on Chemnitz City Council

City electoral officer Ralph Burghart announced the provisional election results for the city council elections shortly after 2 a.m. on Monday morning: A total of nine parties and voter associations will be represented in the new Chemnitz City Council. Voter turnout was 65.37 per cent, slightly higher than five years ago (2019: 61.26 per cent). A total of 190,800 eligible voters were called to decide on the composition of the city council.

The provisional results of the Chemnitz city council elections in detail:

Only 59 of the 60 city council seats were allocated, as the BSW was entitled to two seats in constituency 5, but only one candidate stood.

Public meetings of the municipal election committees - final results of the European and local elections

On Monday, 17 June, the city election committees for the European elections and the local elections in Chemnitz will hold their public meetings in the City Council Chamber, City Hall, Markt 1, to determine and establish the final results of the European elections, the city council elections and the local council elections on 9 June 2024.

10 a.m. The meeting of the City Election Committee for the European elections begins.

11 a.m. The meeting of the city election committee for the local elections (city council elections and local council elections) begins.

The meetings are open to the public and everyone has access.
