Let's be happy and cheerful
All course participants sing Christmas carols together at the adult education centre
On Wednesday 14 December at 11.30 a.m., the Adult Education Centre invites all course participants to sing three Christmas carols together around the atrium on the 4th floor (or 5th floor if necessary).
Around 360 participants from different parts of the world are currently learning German in 24 courses at Chemnitz Adult Education Centre. Not only do they all learn the language in the German courses, they also discover cultural aspects of their new home in Chemnitz. Christmas is not only present at the Christmas market at the moment, but is also talked about and discussed in the courses. Values such as tolerance and respect play a particularly important role at Christmas, the festival of family and community.
The choir will sing: "Schneeflöckchen, Weißröckchen", "Oh Tannenbaum" and "Lasst uns froh und munter sein". Not all verses will be sung in order to enable non-native speakers to understand the lyrics of the song. The lyrics will be distributed by the lecturers.
