LESELUST: A melancholic and humorous road trip

On Friday, 6 May at 7 pm, the city library invites you to a reading by Ronja von Rönne in the event hall at the TIETZ. The author will be reading from her novel "Ende in Sicht" at LESELUST. Admission costs 8 euros, concessions 6 euros.

Deeply sad, elegant and laconic, blogger, writer and presenter Ronja von Rönne tells the story of two women for whom death appears to be the last resort: an unpredictable, dramatic, inappropriately funny read. Hella, 69, wants to die. In Switzerland, in a hospital. So she sets off. Her old Passat will manage this last journey. But as soon as she hits the motorway, something heavy falls onto the bonnet of her car. Juli, 15, wanted to throw herself to her death from the motorway bridge. Now she is only slightly injured - and gets into the car with Hella. Two women want to die. But do they want to do together what seemed to be their last resort individually?
The author:
Ronja von Rönne, born in 1992, is a writer, journalist and presenter. She read at the Ingeborg Bachmann Prize in 2015. Since 2017, she has hosted the programme "Streetphilosophy" on Arte and writes for DIE ZEIT and ZEIT ONLINE.
