Lecture on native birds of prey and owls
The next lecture in the programme of monthly events organised by the volunteer nature conservation service will once again take up the topic of "Birds of prey and owls in the Chemnitz region", which is much in demand by nature lovers. The speaker will be Dieter Kronbach, an ornithologist from Limbach-Oberfrohna. The visitor response to the two previous lectures on local birds of prey and owls was exceptionally high and even exceeded the capacity of the event room. Therefore, the lecture will now be repeated.
The lecture will take place on Tuesday, 22 April at 5 p.m. in the citizens' room at the Chemnitz Nature Conservation Station (Adelsbergstraße 192). Nature conservation helpers and all other citizens interested in the topic are cordially invited. Admission is free.
Dieter Kronbach will use the example of the attractive bird group to report in words and pictures on the results of his 35 years of leisure research as an observer, mapper and ringing expert and will also discuss the surprisingly rare species that breed in densely populated areas. At the same time, he will provide information about the birds' habitats and conservation and aid measures.
