Lecture: News from the world of mushrooms

Christening of a newly described mushroom species in honour of the city of Chemnitz

After the excursions in the summer months, lectures are held during the colder months as part of the monthly events organised by the volunteer nature conservation service.

The lecture "A sensation for Chemnitz - news from the world of mushrooms" by Pilzfreunde Chemnitz e. V. will kick off on Tuesday, 27 October 2015 at 5 pm.

Peter Welt and Bernd Mühler will present spreading, rare and new mushrooms in Chemnitz in words and pictures. The focus is on stand mushrooms. However, some tubular mushrooms will also be shown and explained.

The final and highlight of the presentation will be the naming of a newly described mushroom species in honour of the city of Chemnitz.

The Environmental Agency cordially invites nature conservation helpers, mushroom enthusiasts and interested citizens to the citizens' room of the nature conservation centre, Adelsbergstr. 192. Admission is free.
