Lecture evening on biotopes
Many rare and ecologically valuable habitats, such as trees with cavities, near-natural ponds, marshes and wet meadows or orchards, are legally protected biotopes in Saxony. There are more than 1000 of these in the city of Chemnitz. Karina Hofmann, a student and nature conservation assistant, will present the results of her first inspection of biotopes in her lecture "Natural and anthropogenic changes to biotopes in eleven years".
The event in the series of monthly events of the voluntary nature conservation service will take place on Tuesday, 23 October at 5 pm in the citizens' room of the nature conservation station at Adelsbergstraße 192 (access via the Pappelhain stop on tram line 5, access via Carl-von-Ossietzky-Straße).
Nature conservation helpers and anyone else interested in the topic are cordially invited to the lecture evening. Admission is free.
