Lecture evening on biotope and species conservation on the edge of the Zeisigwald forest
The last lecture in this year's programme of monthly events organised by the volunteer nature conservation service will take place on Tuesday, 25 November at 5 pm at the nature conservation station at Adelsbergstraße 192. The lecture on the topic "From the Erlensumpf nature reserve to the Am nördlichen Zeisigwald nature reserve" will draw attention to the efforts of Chemnitz conservationists to protect biotopes and species on the edge of the Zeisigwald and provide information on the results of voluntary and official nature conservation over four decades. Particularly important habitats and occurrences will be presented, as well as the necessary maintenance measures and existing conflicts.
The speaker will be the former district nature conservation officer and volunteer nature conservation assistant Christian Schwarze, who has been in charge of the area from the very beginning. Nature conservation helpers and all other citizens interested in the topic are cordially invited - admission is free.
