Lecture evening of the nature conservation service
The next lecture as part of the monthly events organised by the volunteer nature conservation service will focus on the diversity of woody plants in our city. Botanist and nature conservationist Horst Grundmann and tree nursery expert Karl Naue have been working for around six years to record the woody flora of Chemnitz and have collected hundreds of tree and shrub species that can be found in parks and gardens or as street trees. He will present half of the most important species in words and pictures in the first part of his lecture.
The event will take place on Tuesday, 26 February 2013 at the Chemnitz-Adelsberg nature conservation station at Adelsbergstraße 192 in the citizens' room and will begin at 5 pm. Nature conservation helpers and citizens interested in the topic are cordially invited to this free lecture. The Chemnitz-Adelsberg nature conservation station can be reached by tram line 5 to the Pappelhain stop or by car via Carl-von-Ossietzky-Straße.
