Lecture evening in the town archive: On the history of the von Einsiedel family

The next lecture evening in the series "The City Archive presents" will take place on Wednesday, 9 April at 6 pm in the City Archive building (Aue 16, 09112 Chemnitz). The speaker will be regional and church historian Dr Michael Wetzel from Zwönitz with a lecture entitled "The Einsiedel family in the Erzgebirge and its foothills".
Admission to the event is free.

The town archives will provide information on the lecture evening: The widely ramified von Einsiedel family is one of the most renowned and traditional representatives of the Saxon nobility. From the family seats of Wolkenburg and Scharfenstein, the family has had a diverse influence on the development of the Chemnitz region since its first mention in the 13th century. Based on the biographies of various members of the von Einsiedel family, the speaker will follow the political, economic and cultural traces of this family and present the significance of their influence on the region.
