Learn to fly a multicopter safely
Adult education centre: Course on 14 October, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Jahnsdorf airfield
On Saturday, 14 October, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., passionate hobby pilots and beginners can learn more about the safe handling of mutlicopters - also known colloquially as drones. The three-hour course organised by the Chemnitz Adult Education Centre takes place at the Jahnsdorf airfield, Wilhermsdorfer Straße 43.
The course fee is 31.40 euros. Registration is possible at www.vhs-chemnitz.de/kurs/W2351005 or by telephone on 0371 488-4343. On the day of the course, please bring a fully charged multicopter and proof of liability insurance.
Multicopters are used in many different ways, for example in the emergency services, the film industry, industry and agriculture. Drone flying has also enjoyed great popularity as a leisure activity in recent years. Experienced pilot and instructor Jörg Vogel explains what to look out for and how to control a multicopter safely.
Participants will receive an introduction to multicopter flying based on the EU Drone Regulation and control their own device for a sightseeing flight over the airfield. At the end of the course, instructor Jörg Vogel will show his own aerial photographs of Dresden in the café at the airport.
In the event of unsuitable flying weather, the course will be postponed to an alternative date.
