Labyrinth of lights lights up the Brühl again

Light and music on the boulevard on Saturday evening

Under the patronage of Lord Mayor Barbara Ludwig, a sea of 4,000 shining tea lights will create an atmospheric ambience on Chemnitz's Brühlboulevard from 19:00 on Saturday, 25 June 2016. Handmade music by choirs and instrumental groups from the 11th European Summer Philharmonic and Choir 2016 will also be performed. Admission is free.

The tea lights will be placed in sand-filled paper bags in the form of a labyrinth of lights. Visitors are cordially invited to help create the labyrinth. All they need is a parchment bag, a handful of sand and a tea light. Each tea light becomes part of the labyrinth. Creative minds are also welcome with their own activities - registered or spontaneous.

The labyrinth of lights is part of the 11th European Summer Philharmonic and Choir 2016 organised by the Sächsische Mozart-Gesellschaft e. V. and is supported by the city's Brühl Office.

The Summer Philharmonic will take place from 24 to 29 June 2016 in Chemnitz and Chomutov. It includes more than 200 musicians from Chemnitz's twin cities.
