KRACH at Maker Faire Saxony - honouring the first prize winners

The international KRACH jury has made its decision and selected the ten winners of the first KRACH sponsorship award. They will be announced at an award ceremony on Saturday 14 April 2018 from 6 p.m. as part of the second Maker Faire Saxony in the Tropenhaus at Chemnitz City Hall.
The award ceremony will last around an hour and will be followed by a get-together with the KRACH award winners and competition participants, the KRACH initiator and the exhibitors of the second Maker Faire Saxony.
The "KRACH" funding programme and the promotion of the cultural and creative industries is an important step towards becoming "European Capital of Culture 2025". The "Chemnitz 2025" Capital of Culture Office is donating a sponsorship prize. Further sponsorship prizes are provided by supporters from the business community. In addition to CWE Managing Director Sören Uhle, a large number of project participants, jury members and landlords will be attending the award ceremony.
Media representatives are cordially invited to the KRACH award ceremony on Saturday, 14 April 2018, 6 p.m., Chemnitz City Hall, Tropenhaus.

There is a charge for visiting Maker Faire Saxony. Please inform us informally by Friday, 13 April 2018, 2 p.m. if you would like to report on the KRACH Award Ceremony in order to guarantee you free admission.

Keyword KRACH
KRACH - Kreativraum Chemnitz (Chemnitz Creative Space) aims to promote the establishment of companies and projects in the cultural and creative industries in Chemnitz. On the initiative of the City of Chemnitz, Chemnitzer Wirtschaftsförderungs- und Entwicklungsgesellschaft mbH and the industry association Kreatives Chemnitz e. V., public and private landlords make commercial space in Chemnitz available for use by these projects free of charge for up to three years. In addition, the award winners will receive a start-up budget of 2,500 euros as well as support from experts in business, law and marketing. The first round of applications ended on 31 January 2018 with more competition submissions.
Over 50 project and business ideas were submitted in the first round of the "KRACH - Kreativraum Chemnitz" competition. 27 project ideas were invited to the KRACH meeting weekend in February. The applications could then be further developed.
