"Kita & Künstler 2019" - creative teams have been finalised
The five creative teams of the "Kita & Künstler 2019" project, who will each receive a grant of 1,000 euros, have been finalised. Last week, they officially received their participation documents at the 9th "Cultural Education" Jour fix at the Neue Sächsische Galerie.
The Kulturraum Stadt Chemnitz had once again invited regional artists and day-care centres to collaborate creatively. Teams of artists and daycare centres had until 31 May 2019 to apply with an artistic education project.
The applications submitted were assessed by a jury. The selected project ideas from cooperation teams between daycare centres and artists from Chemnitz were rated as particularly high in terms of their educational and artistic quality.
The subsidised creative projects are:
- KreativVilla and Kerstin Lesselt with "Ich seh' etwas was du nicht siehst!" or: THE ART OF PAINTING ON THE WATER
- Kita Traumland and Jessika Reinwardt with "We see Chemnitz in colour!"
- Glückskäfer daycare centre and Frieda Friedemann with "BAUHAUS"
- Filou daycare centre and Stephanie Brittnacher with "Illustrations for Filou stories"
- Ruesselchen daycare centre and Kristina Meyer with "Arianrhod - Eternal change in the annual cycle"
The aim of the "Kita & Künstler" project is to give children access to artistic education and co-creation. The artists from the fields of performing and visual arts work together with children aged three to six to organise workshops, courses or project days.
The project is funded by the Saxon State Ministry of Science and the Arts and the City of Chemnitz.
