Kick and celebrate together
City of Chemnitz supports district festival in Hilbersdorf and intercultural football tournament on 24 September 2016 from 2 to 6 p.m., Evangelisches Schulzentrum, Ludwig-Richter-Straße 21
The neighbourhood festival in Hilbersdorf is supported as part of the local action plan for democracy, tolerance and a cosmopolitan Chemnitz. Pupils from the Evangelical School Centre and refugees take part in a joint football tournament.
The non-commercial district festival is organised as part of the Intercultural Weeks by Initiative EH, an interest group of citizens and associations from the districts of Hilbersdorf, Ebersdorf, Brühl and Sonnenberg.
Visitors can expect a colourful entertainment programme with LIVE music, dance, sport and games. Creative activities, a marketplace with hands-on offers and information from various local supporters round off the neighbourhood festival. International food and encounters are intended to contribute to greater mutual understanding.
The project is funded by the Federal Ministry for Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth as part of the federal programme "Demokratie leben!" and the "Lokaler Aktionsplan TOLERANZ FÖRDERN - KOMPETENZ STÄRKEN" of the City of Chemnitz (LAP). The supporting organisation is Neue Arbeit Chemnitz e.V.
