From Monday 8 September at 5 a.m. until Friday 12 September at 8 p.m., Kalkstraße will be fully closed in the area of the largely completed bridge of the premium cycle path. The reason for this is the first so-called main inspection of the bridge, corrosion protection work in the carriageway area and a vibration investigation of the superstructure. At the same time, the carriageway of Kalkstraße is being repaired under the bridge structure.
The diversion between the Rottluff motorway junction and the industrial estate will be via Kalkstraße - Oberfrohnaer Straße - Trützschlerstraße - Limbacher Straße in both directions.
The bridge construction on Kalkstraße for the Wüstenbrand - Chemnitz premium cycle path is in the final spurt. This is the last scheduled closure of Kalkstraße as part of this project. Provided that no further work is required after the first main bridge inspection, the plan is to open the gap between the already completed cycle path sections in October of this year. Once the cycle path has been successfully rerouted, the temporary bypass will be dismantled and the side surfaces restored.
The company Hentschke Bau GmbH from Bautzen was commissioned with the construction work and Metallbau Schubert GmbH from Markersdorf with the steel construction.
