Join in and make music together
Action on the Neumarkt on Europe Day, 9 May, 4.30 pm
To mark Europe Day on Tuesday, 9 May 2017, the EU Office of the City of Chemnitz and the Municipal Music School will be playing the European anthem on Neumarkt square. At 4.30 pm, pupils from the music school's brass section will start playing the "Ode to Joy". They will be supported by choir members from the school.
All choirs, orchestras, music ensembles and Chemnitz residents are invited to join in one by one to bring the Neumarkt to life.
The texts do not have to be memorised in advance - the EU office will distribute them as small flyers.
