On Monday, 17 February, 9 to 11 a.m., representatives of the media are invited to the company M3-Raumbau, Gewerbepark A4, Bornaer Straße 205. There, owner Fabrice Müller will introduce the children and young people from the Johanneum Academy to the professional field of painting and varnishing. In an airbrush workshop, they will also create graphics on the theme of the European Capital of Culture Chemnitz 2025.
The Johanneum Academy is a project developed by the Johanneum Children and Youth Foundation of the City of Chemnitz, which has now established itself as a brand.
This year, the "Science and Technology" module will take place in the first week of the winter holidays. In various workshops, the participants will explore the topics of energy, the environment and physics. They will also gain an insight into various professional fields.
Reliable partners such as the Chemnitz University of Technology, the smac - State Museum of Archaeology Chemnitz and many more have been involved for many years.
The aim of the Johanneum Academy is to introduce children to different educational programmes, arouse their curiosity, develop social skills and increase their self-esteem. In addition to the thematic input, the Johanneum Academy provides constant educational support from staff at the Küchwald school hostel run by the Kinder-, Jugend- und Familienhilfe e. V. Chemnitz association.
The project is financed by donations that the Johanneum Children and Youth Foundation receives from companies and private individuals.
