Is sign language international? A clarification of myths about sign language and deafness
Event of the adult education centre on 18 March, 5 pm, at the TIETZ
On Monday, 18 March, from 5 to 6.30 pm, the adult education centre invites you to an event on the subject of sign language. The lecture will take place in the TIETZ, course room 4.07. Attendance is free of charge.
Around 80,000 deaf people live in Germany. In everyday life, deafness as a topic is not very present, many details are largely unknown. The lecture aims to clear up various myths surrounding sign language and deafness. Some questions and prejudices about the topic will be addressed - with the aim that participants will be able to deal with affected people a little more openly and understand their world better after the course.
