Invitation to the residents' meeting south-east
The residents' meeting for the districts of Euba, Adelsberg, Kleinolbersdorf-Altenhain, Reichenhain, Erfenschlag, Einsiedel, Harthau and Klaffenbach will take place on Friday, 5 April 2019 at 5 pm. The venue is Gymnasium Einsiedel, Niederwaldstraße 11, Chemnitz. The grammar school can be reached by public transport. Disabled access and disabled parking spaces are available. Public parking is available in the grounds of the grammar school or in the immediate vicinity. If required, childcare will be provided free of charge in a room at the grammar school. This is the second residents' meeting to be held in a new format. Citizens can take a seat at so-called topic tables, where the Lord Mayor and the Mayors of the City of Chemnitz as well as a representative of the police will be available for discussions on their respective key topics. Here, concerns can be raised and discussed with the top management and city councillors.
At the table of the Department of Personnel, Finance and Organisation, the question of how the money planned in the budget is spent in the city districts will be answered. Information and news about the volunteer fire brigades will also be provided.
At the table of the Department of Law, Security and Environmental Protection, you can discuss security and order in the city districts with a representative of the police and raise problems. Questions about waste disposal and street cleaning can also be asked, as a representative of the ASR will be sitting at this table. The topic of noise protection can also be addressed.
The Department of Education, Social Affairs, Youth, Culture and Sport will be at the table to show interested citizens what's new at the daycare centres, schools and sports facilities. What can residents look forward to? What does the free pre-school year mean?
The Department of Urban Development and Construction will also be answering questions about flood protection and broadband expansion at another table at the residents' meeting. The 2nd stage of the Chemnitz model will also be presented.
Lord Mayor Barbara Ludwig will also be answering residents' questions at her own table at the residents' assembly. However, she does not specify a topic. Rather, this table will have the character of a citizens' consultation, where all topics can be raised and discussed with the Lord Mayor.
Organisational note: There will be a short introduction by the respective mayor at each topic table. Citizens will have the opportunity to move to another table at any time during the residents' assembly in order to join in the discussion there. If questions cannot be answered on the spot, they will receive a reply from the city administration afterwards.
