Felling of hybrid poplars along Stollberger Straße parallel to Carl-Bobach-Straße and Wenzel-Verner-Straße between 14 and 24 October
The City of Chemnitz Parks Department would like to inform residents about the need to fell poplar trees on Stollberger Straße.
In the section along Stollberger Straße parallel to Carl-Bobach-Straße and Wenzel-Verner-Straße, there is a stand of 400 trees (mainly poplars) from the 1970s in the embankment area.
Despite the high level of maintenance work carried out on the trees to date , road safety can no longer be guaranteed in the long term due to the local conditions. For this reason, the trees need to be felled. The area will be replanted in 2016.
At the information event, the city administration will once again inform residents about the upcoming measure and answer any unanswered questions.
