Invitation to the press conference: Investment lump sum for the accommodation of refugees
Time and place: Thursday, 05 November, City Hall, Room 211
With the adoption of the 2015/2016 double budget of the Free State of Bavaria, the Investment Lump Sum Act was opened up. This regulated the granting of an investment lump sum for the repair, renovation and construction of own facilities for the accommodation of refugees.
The city of Chemnitz will receive around 1.2 million euros from the lump sum this year. The allocation can be used for investments by the municipality or passed on to companies in which it holds all shares. This applies to the City of Chemnitz and its municipal subsidiary Grundstücks- und Gebäudewirtschafts-Gesellschaft mbH (GGG). GGG will use the funds to upgrade flats that are to be used for the decentralised accommodation of refugees.
Building Mayor Michael Stötzer, GGG Managing Director Simone Kalew and a representative of the social services department will present the planned properties. We would like to invite you to this event tomorrow, Thursday, 5 November 2015, at 3 pm in room 211 (to the left of the Stavo hall) in the town hall.
