Invitation to the citizens' dialogue "Staying in touch"
Monday, 17 September, 6 to 8 p.m., at Chemnitz Stadium, Gellertstraße
The first citizens' dialogue "Keeping the conversation going" will take place on Monday, 17 September from 6 to 8 p.m. at Chemnitz Stadium, Gellertstraße, on the topic of "How safe is Chemnitz?".
In addition to Lord Mayor Barbara Ludwig, State Minister of the Interior Prof Dr Roland Wöller, State Minister of Justice Sebastian Gemkow, President of the Chemnitz Police Headquarters Sonja Penzel, Mayor for Law, Security and Environmental Protection Miko Runkel and other Chemnitz personalities will be talking to the people of Chemnitz.
After a short introduction, various discussion tables are planned on topics such as the security situation and sense of security in Chemnitz, the work of the justice system and cooperation between the city and police in Chemnitz, where people can enter into direct dialogue with the responsible representatives from politics and the authorities.
Chemnitz citizens who are looking for dialogue, who want information, who have concerns and fears, who want to express their opinions or contribute ideas are invited. The aim of the citizens' dialogue is to understand different perspectives, to enter into an exchange and to listen. As a result, possible consequences are to be derived from the discussions and room for manoeuvre identified.
Admission next Monday is from 5 pm. The event is reserved for citizens of Chemnitz. Please have your ID ready at the entrance to prove your residence in Chemnitz.
Please note: The premises in the Chemnitz stadium offer space for approx. 500 people. If the number of interested parties is higher, there may be a second event on this topic.
