Invitation to residents' information event: Maintenance measures and felling of poplars on Stollberger Straße
The City of Chemnitz Parks Department, supported by the neighbourhood management, would like to inform citizens about necessary maintenance measures and the associated felling of poplar trees on Stollberger Straße.
In the section between Usti nad Labem Street and Scheffel Street, there is a stand of 400 trees (mainly poplars) from the 1970s in the embankment area.
Despite high maintenance costs, road safety can no longer be guaranteed in the long term due to the local conditions. Extensive tree care measures and felling are planned, and the area will then be replanted.
At the information event, the city administration will explain the plans and work steps to residents and answer any questions they may have.
