Invitation to an on-site press conference: The topic of family centres using the example of of the day care centre at Tschaikowskistraße 9

Representatives of the media are cordially invited to an on-site press conference on Thursday, 27 November at 9:30 a.m. at the municipal daycare centre at Tschaikowskistraße 9 in the Sonnenberg district of Chemnitz.
The dialogue partners are Mayor Philipp Rochold and Gunda Georgi, Head of the Office for Youth and Family of the City of Chemnitz. They will explain the topic of the new family centres - which are being established in selected municipal daycare centres - against the background of the closure of the previous Haus der Familie at Parkstraße 26, using the example of the daycare centre at Tschaikowskistraße 9, which is already successfully offering open services for families.
With the planned closure of the property at Parkstraße 26 on 1 January 2015, the city administration is implementing a resolution passed by Chemnitz City Council. However, the services previously concentrated in the Haus der Familie will remain unrestricted in the daycare centres developed as new family centres.
