Invitation to a press event: EU Coordinator receives experts from Romanian employment agencies in the town hall

A delegation from Romania is visiting Chemnitz from 9 to 12 September 2015 as part of a European study trip on the topic of "Developing and implementing active employment measures". The EU Coordinator of the City of Chemnitz, Pia Sachs, will welcome the Romanian guests on 10 September 2015 at 10 a.m. in the City Hall (meeting point in the foyer). In a discussion, they will receive information on the history and current situation in the city as well as the European work in Chemnitz. Representatives of the press are cordially invited to the event.

The aim of the study trip is to show the delegation ways in which jobseekers in the technical field can find their way back into work more easily. The meeting between employees of the Chemnitz Job Centre and the Romanian delegation will serve to present applicable models for reintegration into working life. In addition, solaris Förderzentrum für Jugend und Umwelt gGmbH, the German partner in this EU project, will give the Romanian experts an insight into its work in the field of reintegrating jobseekers.

The four-person delegation includes the Head of Human Resources of the Romanian National Labour Agency in Bucharest and the Deputy Executive Director of the Labour Agency of Iasi County.

The study trip is subsidised by the Romanian European Social Fund.
