Invitation to a press conference: List of measures for the Saxon Investment Strengthening Act in Chemnitz

The Saxon Investment Strengthening Act came into force in December 2015. It regulates the allocation of funds to local authorities from the Federal Municipal Investment Promotion Act and from state funds. The allocations are divided into a "federal" budget, a "Saxony" budget, a school building construction funding programme for independent cities and investment lump sums.

The City of Chemnitz has around €47.5 million in funding available from the "Saxony" budget. The administration proposes to the City Council a list of measures to be realised with these funds. The resolution by the City Council is scheduled for 15 June.

Media representatives are invited to the presentation of the proposed measures tomorrow, Friday, 20 May 2016 at 11 a.m. in consultation room 118 at Chemnitz City Hall. The following people will be available to talk to you:

  • Lord Mayor Barbara Ludwig
  • City Treasurer Sven Schulze and
  • Building Mayor Michael Stötzer
