Invitation: Second integration fair in Chemnitz

Opening of the fair on Wednesday, 8 May, 10 a.m., Foyer Haus TIETZ

The second integration fair will take place in Chemnitz on Wednesday, 8 May from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the foyer of the TIETZ building. It is being organised by the City of Chemnitz Social Welfare Office and DC DuvierConsult GmbH together with other partners.

As last year, the patron of the Second Integration Fair is the President of the Chemnitz Regional Chamber of Industry and Commerce, Gunnar Bertram. The City of Chemnitz will be represented at the opening by Heike Steege, Head of the Migration, Integration and Housing Department at the City of Chemnitz Social Welfare Office and previously the city's Commissioner for Foreigners for many years, and Etelka Kobuß, Commissioner for Foreigners of the City of Chemnitz.

Representatives of the media are cordially invited to attend the opening and the event.

Heike Steege: "We are very pleased that after the successful inaugural event last year, the Chemnitz University of Technology has also been won over as a committed contributor to the preparatory group for the second integration fair, in addition to a wider range of exhibitors. This is another reason why we are expecting many students this year who would like to find out about the opportunities for starting a career in our city. We cordially invite you to visit the fair - please also inform your relatives and acquaintances!"

Under the leadership of the Chemnitz Social Welfare Office and DuvierConsult GmbH, the Chemnitz Commissioner for Foreigners and the Chemnitz Chamber of Industry and Commerce, the Chemnitz Chamber of Crafts and the Chemnitz University of Technology, the Job Centre and the Employment Agency as well as other independent providers of migration work were involved in the preparation of the second integration fair in Chemnitz.

As with last year's trade fair premiere, the offer is once again aimed at fellow citizens from Chemnitz and the surrounding area who also need successful access to the labour market for successful integration. In addition to migrants, this time foreign students and companies in need of skilled labour will also be targeted. In addition to the first integration fair in 2012, employment services, the university and companies will be more closely involved in the new edition. There will also be detailed information on residence and work permits. In addition to advice from companies and authorities, educational service providers and associations, the fair also offers the opportunity to find out about the application process in Germany. In addition, specialist presentations will explain, for example, the legal framework from the perspective of companies and jobseekers. As last year, there will be guides on site in all common languages who will be happy to help foreign-language visitors to the fair.
