Invitation: Programme for the Chemnitz Peace Day on 5 March 2015 is presented

How Chemnitz is celebrating Peace Day on 5 March will be the subject of a press conference tomorrow, Tuesday, at 2 p.m. in Chemnitz City Hall, Room 118.
A broad alliance of city council groups, the Lord Mayor, representatives from business, trade unions, culture, sport, science, churches, the Jewish community, initiatives, associations and civil society players have developed a joint programme. Thousands of Chemnitz residents are called upon to commemorate the victims of the Second World War on this day and to set an example for a tolerant and peaceful society.
Among those taking part in the press conference will be Mayor Barbara Ludwig, representatives of the signatory political groups, the General Director of Chemnitz Theatre, Dr Christoph Dittrich, Gerald Richter from the Chemnitz Peace Day Working Group, Egmont Elschner from the Cultural Advisory Council, Ralf Hron from the DGB, Stephan Brenner from the Chemnitz church district, Heiko Schinkitz. City Sports Association, Tim Detzner for the Chemnitz Nazi Free Alliance and photographer Karla Mohr.
