Introduction to Braille
Adult education centre: Four-part course from 2 November, 5 to 6.30 p.m., TIETZ, Room 5.42
The Chemnitz Adult Education Centre is offering a four-part basic Braille course starting on Tuesday, 2 November. The four events will take place on Tuesdays from 5 to 6.30 pm in TIETZ, room 5.42, up to and including 23 November. Participation is free of charge. Braille, named after the Frenchman Louis Braille and developed by him in 1825, is used worldwide today. The course teaches the system of writing and provides an easy introduction to learning how to read and write Braille. The course also provides information about the origins and basic principles of Braille and its use in everyday life. Sighted, blind and visually impaired people can take part. No previous knowledge is required.
