Into the rubbish bin - and then?
VHS@home: Online lecture on 8 December, from 7 to 8.30 pm
On Wednesday, 8 December, from 7 to 8.30 p.m., the adult education centre invites interested parties to the online lecture "Ab in den Mülleimer - und dann?". The lecture will focus on the question of what happens to the various types of waste that are thrown away every day in the city of Chemnitz.
Participation is free of charge. Registration is possible until 3 pm on the day of the event at www.vhs-chemnitz.de or 0371 488-4343. An access link will be sent out after registration.
Every day, countless things end up in the rubbish bin: hoover bags, kitchen waste, paper, glass, packaging and much more. What happens to the different types of waste in the bins after they have been emptied is largely unknown. Where is it taken and how is it disposed of? What is recovered and how is it recycled? In Chemnitz, the City of Chemnitz's own waste disposal and city cleaning company (ASR) is responsible for waste disposal, a daily service for around 130,000 households.
On this evening, the ASR's waste advisory service will provide all kinds of interesting information about waste disposal in Chemnitz and provide answers to all questions.
