On Saturday, 8 March, International Women's Day, at 5 pm, interested parties are invited to a panel discussion with female artists, women from the cultural scene and makers at the Lila Villa Women's Centre, Kaßbergstraße 22. Admission is free of charge.
Representatives of the media are also cordially invited.
In the Capital of Culture year, the topic "What is it like to be a woman in art and culture in Chemnitz?" will be explored. What is left at the end: Of money. Of your own aspirations. From your own work. The "Kunstblüten" project introduces itself. "Women put the pressure on. From the right to vote to the right to pay."
The band "Superbusen" and a concert with Alina Dalsegno and Jan Kosyk will provide musical accompaniment to the event.
For over 100 years, International Women's Day has drawn attention to women's rights, gender equality and discrimination against women worldwide.
